There's No Chance of Avoiding Obstacles By Nicholas Baker

I know a lot of you guys face obstacles each and everyday. I published a book in the eBook Edition on https://www.amazon.com/How-Scouting-Changed-My-Life-ebook/dp/B01J6YB15I/ref=pd_rhf_gw_p_img_4?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=CMVS8GPJ0KB0YRCP74F7 and I recommend you read the book and it will help you find out who you truly are in the Boy Scouts. How Scouting Changed My Life is a type of book that will help young men with Disabilities get a chance to become Eagle Scouts.

I was in a Wheelchair do to surgery called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy and it's an uncomfortable and painful surgery. The doctors was hopeful to walk with only a Cain. But it left me Wheelchair bound. And I was in a little nutshell and didn't socialize with anybody. I was like a Hermit Crab hibernating in my room. I still do sometimes but I get out as much as I could. I was facing challenges everyday my friends. And I would like you to get my book and read it. I have a paperback coming along with the eBook edition of the book.

I wouldn't be a man who I am today if it wasn't for my parents. My mother was there with me the whole time giving me her love and support to become an Eagle Scout.

Every Mountian We Face

Back in 2005 if my mother didn’t get me into the Boy Scouts. I wouldn’t have been a man who I am today. Mr. Owney was a good Scoutmaster and he took me under his wing. The guy took me as his son and he took care of me. I asked him to be at my Court of Honor last year on April 12th 2015. And my father was planning on getting married around that time. But my stepmother Ursula Muller Baker had gotten hurt as I was working on my Eagle project. He had called me and said that he’s getting married in November and that he would like me to come out to Arizona to be best man. Good thing he got married on November 1st instead. Because I didn’t want to pospone my Court of Honor. I’ve packed the place with 140 people. I am proud to be an Eagle Scout and I am proud to be called an Eagle Scout. I relyed on my Scoutmaster each and every day. Your Scoutmaster is the only one you rely on each and every day. When you rely on your Troop you will get all the help as you could. I have looked up to my Scoutmaster everyday. He gave me his love and support to help me become a man who I am today. Becoming an Eagle Scout is the toughest part.

History of the making

There’s nobody out there who does what I did in the Boy Scouts. I took my job seriously and I made every meeting most likely. But some of the meeting I had to miss because of homework. Depends on how much homework I had to do I got them done. But I got my homework done before Mom got home from work. After I get my homework done I went to the meeting. I used to walk over after Physical Therapy but sometimes I went straight home because I had to get my homework done. But I got it done before I left the house. I used to take the Medicade Taxi sometime Grandpa took me. How many Boy Scouts purchase and install an AED Defibrillators for Veterans? But I did most of the work as my mother helped. Without her I wouldn’t be an Eagle Scout and I wouldn’t be in the History Books today. That’s why I am writing this book is to encourage people to follow my footsteps. I would like young men who are in the Boy Scouts get a chance to accomplish their dreams. I know a majority of boys who drop out the first year of Scouting.

Staying Up Until 2am

As I was preping for my Court of Honor my Mother stayed up late until Midnight. She helped me make the bulletins for the Ceremony. I was already in bed by the time that she was working on some stuff on her work computer. She works for Blue Cross Blue Sheild and she’s been there for twelve years. And she’s still going because she’s a tough old broad. I don’t know how she does it all these years. But being a Scout mother for Ten years I don’t know how she did it. I know that she got me through the ups and downs. There were some bumps on the road along the way of becoming an Eagle Scout. I wouldn’t know what to do without my mother being there for me for the past Ten years of my career. I know for that some boys don’t make a career out of it.

Drop Outs

When these boys join the Cub Scouts they don’t last long. They don’t like the structer of the Boy Scout program. It’s the rules and the discapline that the boys don’t like. They don’t like the rules that much. Why? Because the Boy Scouts give the boys the discipline that they need that they don’t get at home. And they just don’t get it. They get away with things that they’re not supposed to. It bothers me that these kids don’t get the concept of the Boy Scout program. They don’t want the structor that they’re father can’t give them. You have to listen to your Scoutmaster as you have to listen to your Father. Because he’s a Father Figure that you have. When you look up to your Scoutmaster he will guide you. He will show you step by step to overcome obstacles which your face. I loved Mr. Owney and always will. He got me out my comfort zone when we were on a row boat together. I had to tip the boat over which to get the Merit Badge. I wimped out on tipping the boat over. He said “You can do it Nick but you have to overcome your fear.” And I did overcome it and I did tip that boat over.

You’re attitude’s like an aroma of your heart, if your attitude’s stink your heart’s not right. – Coach Michelle from Facing the Giants

But I remember Mr. Owney saying the same exact thing to me on that boat. I encourage you all to overcome that fear. When you don’t overcome that fear and you have a stuck up attitude on you. Nothing will happen. You won’t get anywhere and I talked about that in my article that I wrote two years ago. I had that quote that I have on top in that Magazine article that I published in the Pine Bush Quarterly. My buddy John E. Kidd published the article for me. I messaged the guy on Facebook and asked him to publish the article for me. I am glad that he published the article in the Pine Bush Quarterly. I published it again in the Boy’s Life and got paid $40 for the book. I was shocked when I got paid for the article. All I did was submitte the article to the website and they published it. I cashed the sucker right in that day I got it in the mail from the Boy Scouts of America. I got a nice letter from them saying that the readers around the world liked it. The reason why I write books and articles because I would like to help boys with Disabilities get an approtunity to chase their dreams. I published an article called Disabilities Is No Obstacle For High Adventure. And it was published twice. I ask God every day if somebody could make a movie about my story. I remember back in 2012 around the winter time. I was going into the second year of Culinary School at Orange Ulster Boces. I had a young man named Danny Walker. He came up to me one day and asked me for help. I told him that it’s never too late to become an Eagle Scout and that I would get him and extention. I talked to my Scoutmaster Jim Stagliano about it. And he said that he will talk to the council. That same week his mother went up to my Assistant Scoutmaster his name is Rich Satinello and he talked to her. He told me not to say anything to the kid. I said “I already talked to him this morning in Boces and he asked me to get him an extention.” But he came up to me the following day and said that he got it. I was so proud of the kid for getting an extention. I love Danny like he’s my own brother. His family is a very nice people and his mother kept on thanking me. And that she appreciated that I am there for him.

Helping Others

Since I met Danny he said that he is a Boy Scout and he asked me how we met. I told him that we met at the 100th Anniversary camp out. I had a great time on that Camporee with the band and the fireworks. All of those Events that went on he was there with his troop. One day in class he had his Merit Badge book with him. I helped him with his Merit Badge. I am lucky to have a young man in my life. I loved Danny as he was my own brother. I talk to the kid once in the bluemoon. It’s always good to stay in touch with the boy. Boy Scouts of America is the most important program. You help those who needs help. And you be there for those who ned you. I’ve always been there when people needed me. I would like to encourage you to follow my footsteps.

Historic Work of an Eagle Scout

When you’re working toward your Eagle Scout there is nobody out there who will do what you do. There will be people who may want to follow your footsteps. I’ve purchased an installed an AED Defibrillator for the Pine Bush Catholic War Veterans Hall in Pine Bush New York. I held a Filet Mignon Dinner for my Fundraiser. I filled up the place with 140 People. And I filled it up with the same amount at my Eagle Scout Court of Honor. Is History being made everyday? Of course my friend. Back in 1922 there is 2,000 boys became Eagle Scouts. But it’s amazing how many boys became Eagle Scouts each year. The numbers goes up each year. The record will break as the year goes by. History is being made every day when you work toward your Eagle Scout Rank. When you choose a project that you want to work on. You have to choose what nobody has done yet. That’s why I am writing this book because I would like you to understand what is going to happen and what might happen.

The Challenging Piece

I’ve faced a few challenges as I was working toward my Eagle Scout Rank. I’ve always found ways to overcome the challenges. I love the Boy Scout program and I enjoyed going camping. I remember my first camping trip with the Boy Scouts and learning how to walk with crutches for the first time in my life since my surgery. I was in West Point at the time. I was on the trail with a couple of guys. My former Scoutmaster Mike Owney was watching me walk. He stood behind me on the trail to make sure that I don’t fall. “Nick do you need a break? Asked Mr. Owney. “No I am good.” I told Mr. Owney and I pushed myself so hard I warn myself out. I went to Physical Therapy and I was falling asleep. Fritz was talking to Mr. Owney and said “Mike he needs to take minimal steps each time.” But at my Eagle Court of Honor he was talking about it. Yes I am a tough cookie and don’t take a no for an answer. But I was originally going to install a Wheelchair swing at the park in Pine Bush. That got turned down by the council. Then I went back to Physical Therapy and this guy Ray said “I have a project for you.” I looked at the guy and said “What’s that?” He laughed and said “The VFW or local businessess needs an AED Defibrillator.” I was thinking of the Veterans and what I’ve told them a five years before on Memorial Day. “Why not the Catholic War Veterans next door.” I told the guy as I with a smile on my face. My assistant Scoutmaster Rich Satinello looked at me like I was insane. I went on line and looked at the Cabinets for the Defrillator and the price was $253.00 of the cabinet. I texted Mike and I gave him the price. “I talked to Mr. Gill and he wants the cabinet to match the bar.” Said Mike. I put it in the back of the bar at the Catholic War Veterans Hall. But Mr. Owney built the cabinet at his house before he put it in the wall. I am looking forward to seeing what will happen as the year goes by. My mother helped me along the way. She’s the one who got me into the Boy Scouts. And she fought to get me this far of becoming an Eagle Scout. She worked so hard to help me get passed the obstacles. I’ve heard that Grandpa Springborn is an Eagle Scout. I know that he’s proud of me for getting this far. There are times that I wish that he was still alive. My uncles were in the Boy Scouts and I’ve heard stories about them. Grandpa Springborn was a Scoutmaster of my Uncle’s troop. My Grandfather Joseph Rohe was a Cub Scoutmaster. When I was hosted the Filet Mignon Dinner. Jim Gill said “Can all the Scoutmasters come up for a picture taking?” Grandpa was in the picture as well along with other guys. But I had a great time that day.

This is the picture that was taken at the dinner. My buddy John E. Kidd from the Pine Bush Quarterly had published this picture in the Pine Bush Quarterly Magazine that week. I wouldn’t forget the fun times.

This picture was taken as I was waiting for everybody to come. But I had a great time that day. My uncle Dennis came and hungout with us. I went through a lot of tough times along the way. There are bumps that you hit each and every day. But we’ve been focusing on the importance of the program. Like what I wrote in my other book. I mentioned that you have to wear your Eagle Scout Medal proudly. And you should be proud of being an the hard work you’ve done. When you’re in the brotherhood and that blood is running through your veigns. You’re blood related to other people that you barely know. You don’t need to have the same mother to be blood related. But you could be blood related in the Eagle Scout brotherhood. You can’t change your mind of becoming an Eagle Scout. Why? Because the Eagle Blood is already in you.

Eagle Blood

In my last book I barely talked about the Eagle Blood. And the purpose of the blood and why we’re brothers. We’re brothers and sister in the kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ. And we’ve been focusing on avoiding the obstacles which we face. Our brotherhood is very special my friends. And I’m proud to be in the brotherhood. What makes this brotherhood special to me? Meeting other Eagle Scouts around the world on Facebook and in Public when I go to the stores or the mall with my family. I met some Eagle Scouts at my church. It’s amazing how many of them I’ve met. Being an Eagle Scout is a good feeling to have in your life. It’s a life changing experience. And your life will not be the same.

That’s the Catholic War Veterans and the boys are setting up the chairs. There’s a glimps of my little brother Zachary when he was six years old. He’s not my blood related brother but through marriage. It’s a beautiful place and I love it there. I had it catered by Loughran’s Irish Pub. I had an open bar for everybody because it wasn’t a Boy Scout Event. It was an Veteran Event because it was for them. And I did the project for them.

I was talking to the DJ who took over for Mrs. Gill while she was away. But when she came in with her stuff he left. And the boys from the troop is in the back talking. They’re helping out getting the back table ready. I had it on March 8th 2014. I was expecting my causin Nicole to come that day. But she had to go back to college for a Relay for Life Event at her school. But she came to the Court of Honor. I wasn’t disappointed with Nicole for not coming to the Filet Mignon Dinner. It was a pleaser having her at the Court of Honor. She hung up the baloons around each and every table. Aunt Lisa made the Chocolate Lolipops as center pieces.

Hanging out with the caterer Jimmy Loughran. And talking about how the Boy Scouts has made the difference in my life. I gave him a good tip after. And he gave the money to the veterans for their Defibrillator. It was a Phillips that we’ve ordered. My Grandparents came and helped out as well. Grandma was there before Grandpa was. She went home to get dressed and she came back with Grandpa later on. I wouldn’t know what to do without them. They’ve been apart of my life for 24 years and I’ve been grateful that they helped me become an Eagle Scout. This was challenging but I found a way to overcome it. After I got home I worked on my workbook and filled out the form. I’ve always gotten the job done. Who does what I do in the Boy Scouts? There’s nobody out there who does what I do.

Making history in the Boy Scouts is most important thing to do. – Written in How Scouting Changed My Life

When you read my last book you will see that I wrote it in there. But when I went to Canada to go Dog Sledding my team is the cornerstone in History. Why is that? Because I had my leg crushed under the sled. I had the medal braket on my leg braces bent. But my Scoutmaster Jim Stagliano pulled the sled off my leg. But I had a great time that week.

You can’t make History without getting your leg pinned under the Dog Sled. – Written in How Scouting Changed My Life

I also wrote that in my other book and it’s important to understand the purpose of making History. This is an Historic Event that I’ve been through. I’ve been through other Events like that when I was in the Boy Scouts. I was at Camp Tuscarora and they had more boys than I ever saw in the History of the Jamborees that I’ve been to. It’s amazing how many boys showed up at that camp. Jesus was in the Wilderness for 40 days and 40 nights without food and water. Matthew 4:10 says ‘Then Jesus said to him, “Away with you,a Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.” And that’s what you should do when you hear negative voices in your head. You will encounter challenges that you don’t want to face at all. You will be climbing mountains that you don’t want to climb. I’ve faced a lot of challenges along the way. When you pray and ask God for help all you got to do is look up and look left. Jesus said to his Disciples in Luke 11:9 “So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock and it will be opened to you.” But it’s important to ask God what is the next step. He will tell you what needs to be done. I am grateful to have a friend in Jesus because he’s the one who I rely on. I know it’s weird having scriptures in a Boy Scout book. But it’s important to understand how important it is to avoid all of the troubles. I remember when I was working toward my Eagle Scout project. I remember all the weight that was on my shoulders. The Boy Scout oath is “On my honor, I will do my best, to do my duty, to God and my country, to obey the Scout law. To help other people at all times. To keep myself physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight.” And that’s why I put the scriptures in this book. Because you’re doing your duty to God and it’s unusual for an Eagle Scout to write scriptures in his book.

Courage is being scared to death, but saddling up anyway. – John Wayne

That’s always been one of my favorite John Wayne Quotes. I always went by that quote. And I recommend you guys to go by that quote and go on with it.

Obstacle Courses in Boy Scouts

There are a lot of obstacle courses which you face each and every day. I always found ways to overcome them. Whenever you’re working on your project there’s obstacle courses that you face. Becoming an Eagle Scout is very challenging for young men with Disabilities. I’ve always had my Scout leaders with me along the way. My parents were always there for me. I am proud to be an Eagle Scout in Pine Bush Troop 37 in Pine Bush New York. Because that Eagle Blood was already in my veins. I felt the blood running through my veins since I’ve started planning my project. Rich said “I would like to help you get to Eagle.” And I’ve been through two other projects until I heard about the AED Defibrillator from a local Fireman. I’ve felt chills running through my spin that day. But God was telling me something that night in my bedroom when I lived in Bloomingburg. Even the Bloomingburg Fire Department wanted me to become an Eagle Scout. My buddy Brian “Bobo” Shaw encouraged me to follow his footsteps. My buddy John Corrine who was captain at the time said that he was willing to give me a hand with what I do. I’ve called him and met up with him at the drills that they did in the trailer park. But every Wednesday night we met and sat down and talked about it. I had to change my address when my mother and I moved to Port Jervis with my stepfather. The address on the workbook was originally 1 White Birch Trail and we’ve changed it to 31 Hamilton Street. I’ve went through all the hard work changing the addresses.  That wasn’t the hard work but the hard work was the budgeting part. I challenge all you encourage a boy who is troubled.

ECCLESIASTES 8:4-5 NKJV

Where the word of a king id, there is power; And who may say to him, “What are you doing?” He who keeps his command will experience nothing harmful; And a wise man’s heart discerns both time and judgment.

What does that scripture supposed to mean? It supposed to mean that you must act like a Scout and you can’t judge others. But I understand that it’s difficult to not judge.

Scout Oath

On My Honor: being honored to do things for your neighbors or your family.

I will do my best: Trying your best to get your chores done around the house. Or trying your best to avoid obstacles or challenges which you face.

To do my Duty: doing chores around the house or making dinner.

To God: Doing the works of God and encouraging others to follow their dreams. And helping others to know who God is within them to become a better person.

And My Country: obeying the law of your country. And doing the hard work as a citizen to make sure your neighbors are taken care of.

To Obey The Scout Law: Not Judging other people. And acting like a true Boy Scout to help others to become a man who they want to become.

To Keep Myself Physically Strong: That means to stay strong and being brave. Don’t give up on chasing a dream of becoming an Eagle Scout someday.

Mentally Awake: Staying awake and alert of danger, or seeing what’s coming ahead of you. And focusing on what’s important to you to become young men.

Morally Straight: Not being Gay or Homosexaul. And respect other people’s privacy.

Finding the Truth

But what I just wrote on top is what I wrote in my other book. I want you to be reminded of the oath and what the importance of it. I would like you to see the future and seeing what is going to happen. This is a Christian organization and we do our duty to the man upstairs. But I understand that you’ve been focusing on a lot of challenges my friends. I ask that you look at the important view on the Boy Scout program. What is my most fears? “Failure” is my fears in the Boy Scouts. I am afraid of failing, not to myself but to others.

Job 40:20:22 NKJV

Surely the mountains yield food for him, And all the beast of the field play there. He lies under the lotus trees, In a convert of reeds and marsh. The lotus trees cover him with him with their shade; The willows by the brook surround him.

Like what I said before it’s weird about having scriptures in a Boy Scout book. But the scriptures talk about Survival. I would like to encourage you all to read your Bible. I’ve said this before to the boys in my Troop that the Bible and the Boy Scout Hand Book have the same thing in common. If you read from the book of Genesis and the book of Revelation you will see what you will see in the Bible. You will read this in my other book that I wrote is that Lord Baden Powell is not the founder of the Boy Scouts. The one who found it was Jesus. Why? Because he spent 40 Days and 40 Nights in the Wilderness. It’s amazing what you will see in the Bible and the Boy Scout Handbook.

John 6:26-27 NKJV
says Jesus answered them and said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, you seek Me, not because you saw the signs, but because you ate of the loaves and were filled.” Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.”

But is there Gender in Heaven? The answer is no there is not. There is no man and no woman in Heaven. I understand that no matter what we do. There will be bumps in the road. We hit bumps and we face challenges that we can’t find a way to overcome obstacles. I know that God will open new doors for you. I have Cerebral Palsy and I always found ways to overcome the challenges that I face. It scares me that we obstacles always finds me. I always looked up to my Scoutmaster and he helped me. I wouldn’t be a man who I am today. You must find ways to climb that mountain. It’s not easy to overcome the obstacles. How do we keep moving forward if there’s obstacles which we face each and everyday?

Psalm 71:10-12NKJV
For my enemies speak against me; And those who lie in wait for my life take counsel together, Saying, “God has forsaken him; Pursue and take him, for there is non to deliver him.” O God, do not be far from me; O my God, make haste to help me!

There will be people who will mock you and laugh at you for wearing your uniform in school. You’re trying to represent Boy Scouts in your school by wearing your uniform. That’s what I did in school because I could have boys be in the program. I understand that each and everyone of you feel like you’re not good enough. You don’t have to be good enough to become an Eagle Scout. You just be who you are and roll with the flow. I know that we’ve been facing challenges all the long. Our boys don’t know the purpose of the program. “But Nick I’ve been facing obstacles and how can I climb that mountain?” Let go of the nagative thoughts and find out how to overcome the challenges. “Nick I’m a cripple and I can’t climb that mountain.” No you that’s a wrong voice to listen to. But when you have a goal to becoming an Eagle Scout you will see the difference. I know that we’ve been facing difficulties a lot but we always found a way to overcome them.

1 KINGS 5:3-4 NKJV

You know how my father David could not build a house for the name of the Lord his God because of the wars which were fought against him on every side, until the Lord put his foes under the soles of his feet. But now the Lord my God has given me rest on every side; there is neotjer adversary nor evil occurrence.

There is a war going on right now, and I’m not talking physically with guns and knives. I’m talking about emotional and spiritual war my friends. When you’re in middle of a spiritual war you get depressed. “Nick I hope I do become an Eagle Scout.” Stop saying “I hope” you must say “I will” that’s the most important word to say. “Nick I can’t do the things that you do, I am afraid of failing.” You’re not going to fail if you keep fighting that good fight you will thrive. It’s easy to forget how blessed you are to have loved ones to help you. You should be grateful to have your parents who love you and give you all the love and support that they could. I love the fact that my parents gave me their full support. Knowing that Dad lives in Arizona he helped me with my project. He helped me fill out the project book that Mom emailed me. Your father is always there for you to give you advice. Your mother is there for you to guide you. It’s important to understand the importance of a relationship with your parents and why they’re always there.

Love And Support

My mother stayed up until 2am to get ready for my Court of Honor. I wouldn’t be the man that I am today without my mother. She’s always been apart of my life through out my scouting life. I know that Mom loves me with her whole heart. “Your mother moves heaven and earth for you.”Said Darren. There are times that I don’t realize it. But I should realize it. Without your mother being there for you. What good is it not to realy on her? She’s the only person who will do things for you. My mother gave me her love and support with when I was working toward my Eagle. I wouldn’t know what to do without her. What kind of mother staies up that late? You have to realize that a perfect relationship leads to a healthy relationship. My Father talked to me every week checking in on me about my project. And now things are going with the rank. I always wanted to become an Eagle Scout. And I finally made it up that far.

A Mother is the only way to becoming an Eagle Scout. She’s the key and your only hope

But I know that you will always love your mother. When you look up to her and ask her for guidence and she will give you all that guidence. She will do what’s best to help you become an Eagle Scout and help you become a man that you want to be. A man should be lucky and grateful to have a woman who does things that my mother did. I’m hoping that other women will follow her footsteps. And use the same technique that my mother used. Just like following the leader. “What do I do next Nick?” If you do what I did five years ago as I was planning on my Eagle Scout project. You will see the difference in your life. You will become a man who you want to become. It’s important to allow your parents guide you and help you. I’ve gone Dog Sledding back in the year of 2010 that was six years ago. My aunt was married for five years now since 2011. My father’s been out there since that day. I announced that I was working toward my Eagle Scout and that I’m planning on becoming one that year. In the year of 2012 when I was in Boces for Culinary. I was planning my Eagle Scout project. In the Summer of 2013 the week before graduating from Orange Ulster Boces I found out about the AED Defibrillator. My buddy Ray whose a firefighter mentioned it to me in Physical Therapy. That fall I met up with Jimmy Loughran the owner of Loughran’s Irish Pub in Sulibury Mills NY. He catered my Filet Mignon Dinner for me at the Catholic War Veterans in the town of Pine Bush, NY. I enjoyed the dinner and spending time with people. When I’m at the Tri-State Family Christian Center (Stop, Hop & Roll) I hangout with the kids. This is amazing how many new people who I met. My Scoutmaster has been there for me since day one. I encourage you all to do what’s best to becoming a man who you want to become. The Boy Scouts will change lives from the inside out. I was in the wheelchair and I started walking again. How many Disabled Scouts gets a chance to learn how to walk again after surgery.

NEHEMIAH 13:22 NKJV

And I commanded the Levites that they should cleanse themselves, and that they should go and guard the gates, to sanctify the sabbath day. Remember me, O my God, concerning this also, and spare me according to the greatness of your mercy!

The Boy Scouts of America is a type of program that will cleanse you. The structor will help you become stronger and better. You must focus on the importance of your life. Focus on how to overcome your challenges and fears. It’s easy just to give up on things that hasn’t started yet. Becoming a man is huge responsibility. If you make a mistake, you learn from it. You keep fighting that good fight my friends. You can’t give up on the things that you want to do in life. I am proud to be an Eagle Scout. I am proud to be in the brotherhood. But I know that there will be boys out there that will follow my lead. They will someday become and Eagle Scout. I wouldn’t be the man that I am today without the love and support of my family. My beautiful Stepmother gave me the courage. Between two beautiful women in my life giving me their love and support, I wouldn’t be this far.

Courage of a Stepparent

There are a marjority of Boy Scouts at the rank of Life Scout look up to their stepparents. But I always looked up to them including my biological parents. I have two stepparents who love me and I have two parents who love me. You have people who love you and give you their full support of chasing your dream. Your dream will come to pass when you allow the father to do his job.

The father is the only hope you got, because his angels opens up new doors of the heavens.

You must look up to him my friends and allow him to do his job and allowing to be the best heavenly father there is that you looked up to in the world. But you will see the difference in your life when you don’t allow God to do the dirty work for you. He’s your father and he will take the weight off your shoulders piece by piece everyday.

Merit Badge Requirments

Your family is the most important people in your life to help you become who you want to be in the nor future

Knowing how much your family loves you they will move heaven and earth for you. They will do anything in their power to help you succeed in life and see the difference. It’s important to see the difference in your life. Becoming an Eagle Scout is very challenging my friends and it’s not an easy task to follow. You will be having a rough time when you don’t focus on what’s important to you.

To become a man

Being in the Boy Scouts gives you the discipline and take you out of your comfort zone. It’s just like being in the Military my friends. You have the whole Troop on top of you and making sure that you don’t screw up or screw anybody over. That’s the purpose of the program. It’s to teach you the knowledge of becoming a new person. And that will lead you into Adulthood. Your children, Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren will be following your footsteps. They will become Eagle Scouts someday. You teach them to be Scouts and show them the full Knowledge that they need.

Following Your Heart

When you follow your heart you will feel the difference. You will understand the full meaning to the program. The reason why I am writing this book to prepare you when you do become Eagle Scouts. There are bumps in the road along the way. The good bumps are the ones that you is just a small crack in the road. But the bad bumps are the ones that you have to be carefull. Why? Because it’s a pothole or a sink hole. You don’t want to go down that path anyway. To go places is to follow your heart and listen to it. Because it’s a GPS that will get you to you distination. You need that to take you to where you belong. It’s hard to go down the path that you want to go down. You have to listen to the direction from your heart.

Your heart’s like a compass that will take you to where you belong, it’s your best friend to rely on to get you to where you need to be.

If you use your heart as a compass and use your tolls that God has given you. Being lost won’t be an option. I always used my heart as a compass.
